It is by no means the perfect Spiral that you create in programs like Inkscape, Illustrator and Corel Draw. However, if you'd like to tweak your Spiral, you can use Edit Shape > Edit Points.

Once we are sure of the Shape that we are going to move forward with in this design, we can set both its Height and Width to 0.5 Inches each.

Step 15: Free Rotate Shape

Move your cursor over this Arrow, and when it changes to a Black Rotation Arrow, hold down your left mouse button and move it to the left or right, stopping when the end of the Spiral is facing upward.

Step 16: Shape Effects Glow

In the Shape Styles Group of the Format Tab, select the Shape Effects Icon.

Here's the Spiral now with its Green Glow applied. Well the Green and the Blue don't go together so let's change that. With this color combination the Spiral doesn't look so great. So set the Shape's Outline to White.

Now with the White Outline applied, the Spiral appears more distinctive.

Next create some Duplicates of the Sprial and start lining them up so that they form a Christmas Tree. Remember, to make the Tree look better, don't have all the Spirals face the same direction. Change it up a bit and have fun.

Free Rotate some of them. You can even Flip them. On the Rotate Menu, select Flip Vertical or Flip Horizontal.

Step 17: Glow Variation
